Brainspotting is a type of therapy that uses eye movements to help clients identify, work through and release traumatic memories. It was developed by David Grand in the late 1990s. Brainspotting is based on the idea that traumatic memories are stored in the body and brain.  It helps clients access these memories and process them in a healthy way.

Brainspotting has been shown to be effective for treating a variety of mental health conditions, including:

Hypnotherapy is a state of deep relaxation that can be used to help clients access their subconscious mind. It is a natural state of mind that we all enter into every day, such as when we are daydreaming or driving on autopilot. In hypnosis, the therapist uses a variety of techniques to help the client relax and focus their attention. This allows the client to access their subconscious mind and make changes to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Tapping (EFT)

Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), is a type of therapy that uses gentle tapping on specific acupressure points to help release emotional blockages. It was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s. EFT is based on the idea that negative emotions are stored in the body as energy blocks. When these energy blocks are released, the negative emotions can be healed.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing. It is a type of therapy that was developed specifically for individuals who have a trauma disorder or who struggle with their trauma experiences. Trauma is more common than often perceived, so it’s well suited for a variety of people. Those victims that have experienced any type of abuse. For example, a witness to abuse or violence, those dealing with loss or grief issues, victims of natural or man-made disasters, war veterans and more

How long does treatment typically take? it can vary based on the individual. The actual reprocessing therapy does not take long but the preparation stages can take some time.
